Tucson Sector Introduces New Chief Patrol Agent

Rodolfo Karisch to serve as the new Chief Patrol Agent for the Tucson Sector .

U.S. Border Patrol leadership selected Rodolfo Karisch to serve as the new Chief Patrol Agent for the Tucson Sector and Commander of Joint Task Force-West, Arizona.

Chief Karisch started serving in his new position on Aug. 20, leading more than 3,900 agents and crucial support staff in one of the busiest Border Patrol sectors in the nation.

Prior to his selection, Chief Karisch served in multiple leadership positions to include Chief of the Del Rio Sector and Acting Assistant Commissioner of the Office of Professional Responsibility for Customs and Border Protection.

Chief Karisch brings more than 33 years of law-enforcement experience to the Tucson Sector. He first served with the El Paso (Texas) Police Department in 1983, before joining the U.S. Border Patrol in 1986. He is known agency wide for his extensive operational and leadership expertise, making him a top choice to lead border security operations while protecting the Homeland.
