On Wednesday November 29, 2017 at approximately 12:58 p.m., the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a motorcycle accident at mile post 9 on Charleston Road. A male victim was the only rider on the motorcycle at the time of the incident.
Sierra Vista Police Department officers arrived on scene within eight minutes and discovered the man was unresponsive and began CPR efforts to revive him.
Medical personnel arrived on scene and pronounced the man deceased.
The initial indication is that the man, a Sierra Vista resident, was travelling towards Sierra Vista from Tombstone on his Yamaha cruzer when he may have suffered a medical issue causing the accident.
The investigation is being continued.
