TPD Asks for Help Locating Kidnapping Victim

The Tucson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with information on the possible whereabouts of 61-year-old Concepcion Fuentes and her son, 26-year-old Marco Herrera.

On December 14, 2017, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers from Operations Division East responded to the 1500 block of North Alamo Avenue for a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, they learned Marco Herrera was involved in an altercation with his mother, Concepcion Fuentes. During the altercation, multiple witnesses saw Marco point a handgun at his mother and force her into a vehicle. Marco then drove off with his mother and no one has seen or heard from them since.

Detectives with the Tucson Police Domestic Violence Unit responded and have been actively investigating the incident since yesterday afternoon. The vehicle involved was located and recovered in the 5800 block of East 23rd Street. Detectives have since received information that Marco and his mother may have headed west toward the Yuma, Arizona area.

Marco Herrera is described as a Hispanic male, 5’11, 160 lbs, close cut black hair with a possible mustache and goatee. Concepcion Fuentes is described as a Hispanic female, 5’4, 165 lbs with shoulder length brown hair.

Marco Herrera should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see Marco or Concepcion, or have information on their possible whereabouts, you are asked to call 911 immediately
