Officers discovered packages of marijuana when they peeled back the bedliner of a smuggling vehicle

TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers at Arizona’s Port of Lukeville arrested a 35-year-old Phoenix man Sunday afternoon after finding almost 129 pounds of marijuana, worth in excess of $64,000, in his Chevy truck.

Officers referred the man for a secondary inspection of his vehicle when he applied to return to the United States. As a result, a CBP canine helped officers find more than a dozen marijuana bundles hidden throughout the truck.
