Tucson Woman Nabbed For Pot Belly Smuggling

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Naco, Arizona, prevented a Tucson resident from smuggling more than two pounds of marijuana on Saturday.

Officers at the Naco port pedestrian lanes referred a 26-year-old woman for a secondary inspection when she attempted to cross into the U.S. The woman was found to be carrying packages of marijuana affixed to her stomach.

Officers seized the drugs, worth more than $1,100. The subject was arrested and then turned over to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for prosecution.
