Unlocked Vehicles Ransacked In Quailwood

Sometime during the nighttime hours of Friday night and Saturday morning, January 12 and 13, 2018, eight vehicle burglaries occurred in the Quailwood area of Prescott Valley. In all cases, the vehicle doors were unlocked. The suspect took purses and wallets and then discarded them on other properties in the area.

It appears that the suspect was looking only for cash since credit cards and checks remained when property was discarded.

The suspect was wearing blue jeans, gray jacket and a baseball type hat. He appears to be in his late 30’s or early 40’s. He was walking through the neighborhood on foot checking car doors. Locked vehicles he passed by; however, if the car door was unlocked, the suspect would enter the vehicle and remove the property.

The investigation is continuing. No suitable surveillance videos were available. If you have information on these incidents, contact the Prescott Valley Police Department at (928) 772-9267.
