On Tuesday, Pima County Sheriff’s detectives placed 25-year-old Elijah Lawrence under arrest for 4 counts of Aggravated Assault, 1 count of Armed Robbery, and 2 counts of Kidnapping.
He was transported to the Pima County Adult Detention Complex where he was booked for the above charges, as well as multiple charges from the Tucson Police Department.
These charges are related to Lawrence’s involvement in a multi-agency incident which culminated in a deputy involved shooting on East Aviation Parkway and East 34th Street on October 4, 2017.
Lawrence had been in a medical rehabilitation facility recovering from his gunshot wound and subsequent surgeries.
