Yuma Agents Near Blythe Seize More Than $90,000 In Heroin

Border Patrol agents working near Blythe, California seized more than 10 pounds of Heroin during a vehicle stop on Friday.

Agents conducted the stop on a Nissan Altima and subsequently discovered five packages containing heroin. One male U.S. citizen and one male Mexican citizen were placed under arrest. Agents seized the drugs and vehicle for processing in accordance with Yuma Sector guidelines.

Federal law allows agents to charge individuals by complaint, a method that permits the filing of criminal activity charges without inferring guilt. An individual is presumed innocent unless or until competent evidence is presented to a jury that establishes guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
