Sen. John McCain’s daughter, Meghan, answered a burning question in a Politico podcast interview posted online Wednesday: where is John? According to Meghan, the senator is avoiding DC in order to avoid getting the flu.
Questions as to the whereabouts of the senator were raised earlier this week after McCain’s office published what many perceived to be a misleading press release announcing his introduction of a bill. The press release regarding DACA left the reader with the distinct impression that the senator was in the Capitol.

McCain’s office did not respond to questions about his whereabouts after the press release was issued.
According to Meghan, McCain’s “immune system is so down, everybody is worried about him getting the flu.”
In the meantime, many Arizonans are wondering when McCain will retire so that they might have active and engaged representation.
McCain was diagnosed with brain cancer last year.
