“Great Homegrown Talent” Emma Stone Recognized In Arizona House

Rep. Bob Thorpe this week recognized Arizona native Emma Stone for her achievements. Stone, originally from Scottsdale is an award winning actress.

Stone won the 2017 Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in “La La Land.” Stone has also won a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.

“We ought to recognize great homegrown talent from here in Arizona, especially those who have risen to worldwide success,” said Representative Thorpe. “Emma Stone’s achievements and remarkable career make her an ideal role model for young people looking to pursue their dreams.”

Stone’s most notable films also include “The Amazing Spider-Man,” “Crazy, Stupid Love,” “The Help,” and “Birdman or (The
Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).”
