Another Registered Sex Offender Arrested After Re-Entry into U.S.

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Ajo Station apprehended a registered sex offender early Friday after he re-entered the country illegally from Mexico near Lukeville.

Agents arrested 32-year-old Heriberto Casillas-Sandoval and transported him to the Ajo Station for processing. Agents conducting a records check discovered Sandoval was convicted for sexual assault in 2007 by the Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Sandoval will be processed for immigration violations and faces prosecution for re-entry as an aggravated felon.
