Pinal County Sheriff’s Office personnel arrested 25-year-old Shawn Sethi in Florence on Wednesday based on sexual solicitation.
Sethi started a conversation in a social media application with an undercover Pinal County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) investigator, who was posing as a 14-year-old girl. The conversation began yesterday. The undercover detective was direct with the suspect, making it clear that the profile he was chatting with was 14-years-old. The suspect offered the undercover investigator drugs and alcohol in exchange for sexual favors. He then scheduled to meet in person in Florence.
“This is the second time this week our investigators have arrested someone who is going after our children,” said Sheriff Mark Lamb. “In both cases, the meeting either happened or was scheduled almost as soon as the conversation got started. It’s a shame that there are people out there that will try to target our most innocent.”
Investigators found drugs and alcohol in Sethi’s possession. He is being charged with one count of attempted sexual conduct with a minor, one count of luring a minor, one count child sex trafficking, one count possession of marijuana, and one count of drug paraphernalia.
