Public Helps ID Tucson Aggravated Assault Suspect.

Shortly after Tucson Police shared information about an aggravated assault via social media, several members of the Tucson community contacted the police department with the name of Manuel Andrade. Officers were able to locate him on Tucson’s south side.

Manuel Andrade, age 44, was taken into custody without incident. He has been booked into the Pima County Jail for Aggravated Assault with Serious Physical Injury.

On April 23, 2018, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Andrade entered the Circle K at 2 W. Valencia and began arguing with the clerk. During the argument, he punched the victim clerk over the counter. He then walked around the counter and continued to assault the victim. When the victim turned around, Andrade picked him up and slammed him on the ground head first, causing a serious head injury. Andrade then punched and kicked the victim in the head multiple times before leaving the store. Detectives reviewed the video and it appears Andrade and victim knew each other.
