Tinder Fire Continues To Grow

Coconino National Forest firefighters are responding to the human caused Tinder Fire, located east of C.C. Cragin Reservoir in East Clear Creek, which started Friday at approximately 11:45 a.m.

Approximately 200 firefighters, assisted by aircraft, are now engaged in suppression of the 500 acre fire 2 miles east of C.C. Cragin (Blue Ridge) Reservoir burning on forest land.

Drivers in the area of Forest Road 95 are asked to drive cautiously while near the area because of smoke, response vehicles and personnel in the area.

The fire is producing a smoke which may be limit visibility on state Route 87 and local forest roads.
