Apparently as a result of outrageous response time, the Tucson Police Department (TPD) is partnering with Accident Support Services International to operate the first Collision Reporting Center in Arizona.

The new Collision Reporting Center will allow community members to report traffic collisions that occurred within the city limits of Tucson. The new reporting center is located at the Patrick K. Hardesty Midtown Multi-Service Center, 1100 South Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ, 85711.

TPD advises members of the public who are involved in a traffic collision, to call 911. The 911 operator will determine if the circumstance requires a police response or if the parties involved will be transferred to an Accident Support Services International (ASSI) representative at the Collision Reporting Center for further instructions. If you are asked to respond with your vehicle to the Collision Reporting Center, you will have the opportunity to contact family, your insurance carrier or broker, and will be provided information on the next steps to take. A state-mandated police report will be completed by ASSI staff and the vehicles will be photographed.
