The Tucson Police Department is actively investigating the death of 51-year-old Leroy Perez Calvillo that occurred yesterday on Tucson’s West Side.
On June 16, 2018, at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Tucson Fire Department were dispatched to a vacant residence in the 200 block of W. Delano Street for a report of an injured male lying outside on the ground. A neighbor called 911 after seeing Mr. Calvillo through his chain-link fence.
Upon arrival, Tucson Fire located Mr. Calvillo, who was unresponsive and had obvious signs of trauma. Officers responded to investigate the incident. Tucson Fire transported Mr. Calvillo to Banner University Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries shortly after arrival.
Tucson Police Homicide Detectives discovered that Mr. Calvillo had multiple stab wounds to his body. There are currently no suspects in custody.
