Tucson Pedestrian Victim Of Fatal Hit And Run

The Tucson Police Department is investigating a fatal hit and run pedestrian collision that occurred took the life of 38-year-old Troy Allen on Saturday evening in Midtown Tucson.

On June 30, 2018, just after 7:00 p.m., a passerby driving in the area of South Alvernon Way and South Contractors Way called 911 after locating a pedestrian lying in the road. Officers and members of the Tucson Fire Department responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they located Mr. Allen with obvious signs of trauma. Tucson Fire evaluated the pedestrian, but he was pronounced deceased on scene shortly after their arrival.

Detectives determined that Mr Allen was struck by a vehicle just north of the intersecting roads, based on injuries to him and evidence located at the scene.

The passerby remained on scene to speak with police, but he did not witness the collision or see any vehicles in the area.

As detectives continue their investigation, they are asking anyone with information to please call 911 or 88-CRIME. As always, you can remain anonymous.
