A 44-year-old female Green Card holder, who currently resides in Somerton, Arizona, was arrested by Border Patrol agents as she attempted to smuggle nearly $320K in methamphetamine and cocaine.

At approximately 5:15 p.m. Tuesday evening, agents assigned to Wellton Station Interstate 8 Immigration Checkpoint referred a 2009 Nissan Cube driver by the Lawfully Admitted Permanent Resident from Mexico to the secondary inspection area after a Border Patrol canine gave a positive alert to an odor it is trained to detect.

A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded 51 packages of methamphetamine weighing 87 pounds and five pounds of cocaine located in a false compartment. The methamphetamine and cocaine has a combined worth of over $320,000.

The vehicle and contraband were seized.

  1. Give her a lifetime membership at one of our grand penal institutions for the nerve to bring sickness and sorrow into our country, because that’s exactly what she is peddling.

  2. Snatch the Green Card and throw away the key.
