Previously Deported Convicted Sex Offender Arrested By Border Patrol Agents

Cesar Vargas-Ordaz, Mexican man, who is a previously-deported convicted sex offender, was arrested on Tuesday evening by Ajo Station Border Patrol agents.

During processing, agents learned the 30-year-old Vargas-Ordaz was convicted of Sex with a Minor under sixteen in 2015 in Santa Clara, California, and sentenced to eight months in jail and three years’ probation.

Vargas will remain in federal custody to face charges for re-entering the U.S. as an aggravated felon.
