A 21-year-old Sierra Vista resident was arrested for sexual conduct with a minor and related charges on Tuesday, October. 23. Sierra Vista Police made the arrest after after receiving a report that he was having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old juvenile.
The Sierra Vista Police Department received the report from the juvenile’s mother on Monday, October 22. The mother stated her daughter was having a sexual relationship with a 21-year-old man, identified as Jared Johnson. Further information revealed that the relationship started when the juvenile was 16 years old.
Johnson was taken into custody and booked into Cochise County Jail on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation, luring a minor for sexual exploitation, sexual conduct with a minor, and furnishing harmful items to a minor through personal messaging.
Johnson was released from jail on his own recognizance on Wednesday, October 24.
