Tempe Police officials have confirmed that two officers were injured in a shooting on Monday. The shootings occurred near Mill Avenue and Baseline Road at approximately 3:00 p.m.
On Monday afternoon, the two Tempe Police officers were shot while trying to serve an order of protection against a domestic violence suspect.
Tempe Police officials advise that the suspect reportedly fired shots at both officers. The retreated and returned fire.
According to officials, both officers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
