Sierra Vista resident Michael Harman was arrested for molestation of a child on Tuesday after following up on a report from a member of the man’s family.
On Monday, Nov. 5, at about 8:35 p.m., the Sierra Vista Police Department received a report from a relative that a juvenile girl was being molested by another family member. The investigation was turned over to a detective with the department’s special operations bureau. Further investigation revealed that several incidents took place between April and September of 2018.
The Sierra Vista Police Department executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, located in the 800 block of North Lenzner Avenue, on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at about 3:47 p.m. At that point, the 41-year-old Harman was taken into custody without incident.
Harman was booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of molestation of a child and continuous sexual abuse of a child. He remains in custody without a bond.
