The race between State Senator Kate Brophy McGee and challenger Christine Marsh is the only race left in play.  Brophy McGee believed that if she pandered to the teachers’ unions she might be spared. Instead, without support of the grassroots of the Arizona GOP, Brophy McGee had considerable money from the chambers of commerce and a disenfranchised base.
