Border Patrol Agents Nab Another Convicted Sex Offender

Euder Eizeo Gomez-Fuentes, a 23-year-old Guatemalan national, who is also a convicted sex offender, was arrested by Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents. Gomez-Fuentes, a man with a violent criminal history, was apprehended after he entered the U.S. illegally near San Miguel southwest of Tucson Tuesday evening.

During processing, agents conducted a records check on Gomez-Fuentes and learned he was convicted in February 2018 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for 3rd degree sexual conduct with a child under the age of 16.

Gomez-Fuentes will remain in federal custody pending a court decision on criminal felony immigration charges.

All individuals apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol undergo criminal history checks using biometrics to ensure illegal aliens with criminal histories are positively identified.
