TPD Takes Johnny Bravo (For Real) Into Custody

Johnny Bravo now, Johnny Bravo then, Johnny Bravo on the Cartoon Network.

Johnny Bravo, – yes, it is really his name – was arrested on December 14, 2018, by Tucson Police. Johnny, age 24, who is not a cartoon character,  was charged with 1 count of Attempted Robbery, 1 count of 3rd Degree Burglary, 2 counts of Armed Robbery, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and 2 counts of 1st Degree Burglary.

According to a Tucson Police Department Facebook post, some might remember Bravo “when he had purple hair back in August.”

Bravo allegedly entered the Nordstrom Rack, located at 4320 N. Oracle, with a female friend. The two “began concealing merchandise displayed for sale. When confronted by Loss Prevention, the female suspect returned the items she concealed. She left the store and got into a green sedan parked outside,” according to TPD’s Facebook post.

Bravo tried to leave “with the concealed items when he was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer.” Bravo allegedly “then brandished a knife from his front pocket and pointed it at the Loss Prevention Officer.”

Bravo skedaddled with the merchandise, and got into the same green car and drove away.
