Tucson Police Investigating South Side Homicide

The Tucson Police Department is currently investigating the death of 38-year-old Jeremiah Stoneberg that occurred on Sunday on Tucson’s South Side.

According to Tucson Police, on December 30, 2018, just before 12:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a welfare check at a residence in the 1000 block of East 28th Street. The caller advised police that she was supposed to meet her boyfriend for lunch at his house. When she arrived, there was no answer at the door and blood was located on the ground outside of the home. Officers immediately forced entry, where they found Mr. Stoneberg deceased with obvious signs of trauma.

Currently there are no suspects in custody. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
