1 Home Invader Dead, 3 Hospitalized After Yuma Resident Shoots

One home invader is dead, and 3 others have been hospitalized after a Yuma resident defended his turf.

According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at approximately 1:38 a.m., YCSO personnel responded to the 3800 block of East County 18 ½ Street in reference to a home invasion.

Suspect 2: Jaden James, 18, of Mesa, AZ, was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

Suspect 3: Leonardo Gonzalez, 27, of Yuma, self-transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center and was later flown to a Phoenix area hospital.

  1. These perps need to be charged with OSHA violations for not wearing self protective gear: ie; a bullet prof vest.
Obviously this dangerous life of crime is their chosen vocation. We must demand federal oversight for criminals to insure thier safety when endangering lives and violating laws.
    Where is the federal government?

In a slightly more serious note:
Nice shooting, REAL gun control is after all, the ability to hit your target. 4/4 hits with a .25% initial kill ratio, not bad in my book.

    • I’m with you 100% we have an AR15, riot shotgun that hold 9 rounds and a 1911 colt 45 all three with lasers and lights mounted on them all three of them are a hand reach away. I hope we never have to youse them on intruders but if this happens I and the wife will give them a warning if this doesn’t work it’s time for the MFR to die. We have a professional carpet cleaner so no problem with blood stains in the carpet. All four of them got what they derserved and another one bites the dust.

Where is the federal government protection for these criminals. I’m sure if Albert would have been involved they’d been unionized with proper representation and supplied with the appropriate protective equipment.

  3. How can any of you pass judgement on them everyone makes mistakes so I say to you who are a saint . One of them is related to me and yes she has a criminal history but that don’t define who she is as a person. Yes the home owner had every right to protect his home and family but how can you say they deserve getting shot . The home owner didn’t have to shoot one of them execution style. He shot all for but he shot one in the head as she tried to run away he could have shot her in the leg or something. Also the police said the home owner called the cops 45 min after he shot them. There is more to the story than the home owner said . I think something else happened for him to be able to shoot all 4 in a blink of an eye. Also friends of my sister who was involved in the home invasion said that it was a drug deal gone wrong. So before you start talking crap get your facts straight. I don’t feel bad about my sis being shot or involved she had it coming . Sooner or later something bad was gonna happen but I do believe that there is more to the story than the home owner is saying.

    • Once inside the home and suspect makes an attempt to flee and I have a chance to shoot him/her. You better believe I’m going to shoot. I don’t know if that suspect isn’t going to think about going to another home later and invade it with another group. You’re a special kind of stupid.

    • @Elizabeth: While the rest of us are relaying only on the content of the article, I beg to differ with your impressive and visionary comments based on your greater understanding of hearsay.
      1) you stated: “yes she has a criminal history but that don’t define who she is as a person”, really? Your sister is a convicted criminal, out committing further felonies, felonies that resulted in a death of a fellow felon during the commission of yet another crime.
Please feel free to share with us your enlightened greater understanding of your sisters better qualities?
Personally I hope she’s charged with murder from the death of her “co-worker”.
      2) “Yes the home owner had every right to protect his home and family but how can you say they deserve getting shot” I hate to be repetitive, but really?
Your sister and three accomplishes invaded a home, based on thier actions they all deserved to be terminated, factor in the sheer numbers and my limited empathy even further erodes. All four justifiably deserved to be shot.

I’m guessing spontaneous public displays of intelligence are not a measurable family trait in your home?
I fully understand your frustration and your misguided family loyalties, but while your sister is an idiot, based on your comments your a close second.

      The Oracle

    • There’s always a family member trying to tell people why they should think shooting a criminal is bad. Sorry your sister couldn’t make better decisions but I’m not sorry she got shot. Perhaps this is the event she needed to decide a life of crime is a poor choice. People are basing their thoughts on what the article contains. I always advise family members to avoid the comments section, it will only hurt their feelings.

    • She chose a line of work that has consequences. Pilots may die in a crash, firefighters may die in a fire, it’s real simple. Too bad his shooting isn’t that good or no one would half to worry about these morons in the future. When would she deserve what she got? After she killed some one? Evidently she hadn’t learned from her previous times of being in trouble

    • How can we say they deserved to be shot? Simply like this… They deserved to be shot. Enter someone’s house uninvited with bad intention, get shot. All 4 of these criminals chose to violate someone’s life and stir the pot. The dish that was served was beautiful American justice. The remaining 3 who survived should be charged with murder.

  4. yes, it does define who she is as a person. it defines her as a piece of garbage. and i find your sanctimonious “who are you to judge” baloney laughable. we’re not theives and druggies- thats who we are. we’re people who work noble jobs to buy what we have and our homes. we’re people who don’t do home invasions and burglaries. And you probably might think about finding new friends.
