Sierra Vista Duo Arrested For Drugs, Weapons

The Sierra Vista Police Department arrested two Sierra Vista residents, Tony Zeas and Catherine Widhalm, on drug and weapon charges early Sunday morning. Police were responding to a report of a domestic violence.

On Sunday at approximately 3:13 a.m., Sierra Vista Police Department (SVPD) officers responded to the 4200 block of East Busby Drive and made contact with two individuals involved in the incident at their apartment. While speaking with the individuals, officers smelled “fresh and burnt marijuana coming from the apartment,” according to SVPD.

The officers “saw items that appeared to be related to the packaging and sale of illicit drugs. The apartment was secured and a search warrant was obtained and executed, resulting in the seizure of additional evidence.”

Zeas, age 22, was booked into the Cochise County Jail on the following charges: possession of a narcotic drug for sale possession of a narcotic drug, misconduct involving weapons/possessing a deadly weapon during the commission of any felony offense, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant out of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Widhalm, age 21, was booked into the Cochise County Jail on the following charges: possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of a narcotic drug, misconduct involving weapons/possessing a deadly weapon during the commission of any felony offense, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both Zeas and Widhalm have been released from jail since their arrests.
