The Hayden Police Department is investigating a reported attempted child abduction in the area of 4th and Thorne.
According to Hayden Police, at approximately 6:35 Tuesday evening, a 13-year-old boy reported being approached by an unknown male in a newer model dark blue or black truck. The male summoned the boy and when the boy turned to run the male exited the truck and chased him toward the school. The boy was able to locate his coach and they called the police department.
- The suspect is described as a “light skinned man, about 6’ tall, wearing a dark colored bandana over his face.”
- The vehicle is described as a newer model black or dark blue pick-up truck. The boy reported the truck was not lifted and he did not notice any unique markings. There may have been a passenger in the truck.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Hayden Police Department.
