Tucson Man’s Death Investigated As Homicide

The death of a Tucson man, 72 year-old Leslie M. Bitker, is now being investigated as a homicide.

According to Tucson Police, Tucson Fire Department medics were dispatched on January 22, 2019, shortly before 2:00 p.m., to the 5500 block of S. White Rock Avenue after the landlord of the property called 911 to check on his tenant.

The landlord called 911 after discovering Mr. Bitker unresponsive in the home. Shortly after Tucson Fire medics arrived to the home, he was pronounced deceased.

Officers found Mr. Bitker with obvious signs of blunt force trauma. Detectives determined that the injuries were not accidental. Detectives are now investigating the death as a homicide.
