Woman Tries To Smuggle Cocaine Taped To Rolls Of Fat

TUCSON, Ariz. – A female U.S. citizen was arrested on Sunday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Arizona’s Port of San Luis after she attempted to smuggle drugs taped to her rolls of fat.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), officers at the San Luis Pedestrian Crossing referred the hefty 23-year-old for further inspection when she was entering the U.S. from Mexico early Sunday morning.

A drug-sniffing dog alerted the woman and discovered she had concealed packages onto her body.

The woman voluntarily removed three packages that contained more than one-third of a pound of cocaine, worth $8,700. She was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

Officers seized the drugs.
