Snapchat Pic Threatened Youngker High School Students, Juvenile Arrested

A juvenile is in custody after he posted a threat aimed at Youngker High School on Snapchat.

According to Buckeye Police, on Sunday, March 24, 2019 about 8 p.m., a report regarding threats made via Snapchat was received by the Police Department. The snapchat post was circulating which showed the juvenile holding a firearm with a message threatening to shoot people at Youngker High School on Monday. Because the snapchat was shared numerous times throughout the community, Buckeye Police received several calls about it.

Police began an investigation immediately conducted and were able to identify the juvenile.
the suspect who made the original snapchat post and threat was identified.

The juvenile was booked into Durango Juvenile Facility. The juvenile admitted to creating the snapchat and the threat. A BB gun used in the snapchat post was recovered and taken as evidence in the case.

According to Buckeye Police, there is no current threat to Youngker High School.
