Eloy Teen Killed, Brother Injured In Single Vehicle Collision

An Eloy teen, Elisia Silvas, was killed and her 22 year-old brother was injured in a single-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday, March 31 on Frontier St. near Shedd Road.

Eloy Police initially received 911 calls at approximately 9:08 p.m., about a woman trapped in the vehicle. When officers arrived, they discovered a vehicle with two occupants off the side of the roadway.

According to Eloy Police, officers removed Elisia from the vehicle and began life-saving efforts. The Eloy Fire District continued those life-saving efforts and transported Elisia to Banner Casa Grande Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The Eloy Police Department’s Critical Accident Response Team’s preliminary investigation found that the vehicle, a 2000 Cadillac passenger car, was traveling west on Frontier St. As the vehicle approached Giles St., it crossed over the centerline and left the roadway where it struck a tree and went into a spin.
