Tucson Carjacker Crashes, Arrested In Oro Valley

Oro Valley – A Tucson carjacker, Timothy Charles Hart, is in custody after he crashed the vehicle in Oro Valley.

According to Oro Valley Police, officers responded to several reports of a reckless driver in the area of Oracle Road and Hardy Road on May 29, 2019 at approximately 9:26 a.m.

An officer responding to the call saw a crash at Oracle Road and El Conquistador Way, which had just occurred, involving the suspected reckless driver. The suspect, later determined to be Hart, age 31, fled the scene on foot. Oro Valley Police set up quads and deployed a drone.

Hart was eventually located and taken into custody in a nearby apartment complex.

Oro Valley Police discovered that Hart was a suspect in a carjacking and armed robbery in Tucson.

Hart will be charged with multiple felonies stemming from the carjacking and armed robbery. He will also be charged with criminal damage, hit and run with serious physical injury and endangerment stemming from the crash in Oro Valley.

One victim was transported to a local trauma center in stable condition.
