On Sunday, Phoenix firefighters responded to a house fire in Central Phoenix. An off-duty Phoenix firefighter was first on the scene near 12th Street and Glendale Avenue and rescued a dog from the fire.

The firefighter called 911 when he saw the fire and then ran into the house to rescue the dog.

According to Phoenix Fire, “the Firefighter sustained a minor injury, but both the firefighter and the dog are in stable condition.”
