Peoria Police Arrest Youth Basketball Coach For Child Sex Trafficking

The co-owner of a non-profit youth basketball-training program called “Underground Basketball,” Holland Woods, has been arrested for sex crimes by Peoria Police.

On August 23, Peoria Police AZ Special Victims Unit detectives arrested the 57-year-old Woods also known as “Mutt” on multiple counts of sex crimes including child molestation, sexual conduct with a minor and child sex trafficking.

Four different victims came forward and alleged that they had been molested and sexually abused by Woods over the last several years. The victim’s stated the abuse started for some of them as young as 8-years-old and continued for several years and that the abuse included sexual intercourse.

Through “Underground Basketball,” Woods coaches and trains kids in the Phoenix valley.

After an extensive investigation, Peoria detectives arrested Woods at his home in Peoria on August 23 at approximately 9:45 a.m. He was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on 28 charges, including; Molestation, Sexual Conduct with a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor, sexual abuse, sexual assault, aggravated assault, sex trafficking, and kidnapping.
