Florence Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of William Lewis that occurred on September 9, 2019 at 10:58 p.m.
According to the Florence Police Department, a 911 call was received in which the caller reported that a male was laying in the roadway unconscious at the intersection of South Park Street and Elliot Street in the Town of Florence.
Officers arrived on scene; along with the Florence Fire Department. Mr. Lewis was transported to Banner Ironwood Hospital and pronounced dead on September 10, 2019 at 12:12 a.m.
According to the Florence Police Department detectives, it appears that Mr. Lewis had suffered blunt force trauma to the back of his neck and shoulder areas.
