PACE Academy Student Threatens To “Shoot Up The School And Burn It Down”

Prescott Valley – A PACE Academy student is in custody after threatening to “shoot up the school and burn it down.” The student was charged with Making a Terroristic Threat and Interference with an Educational Institution.

According to Prescott Valley Police, on October 1, 2019 at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of threats at PACE Academy in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

The Principal told officers that the student had not only made threats but attempted to recruit additional students to carry out his plan. Students reported the threatening statements and identified him.

The student was not named by authorities because he is a juvenile. He was taken to Yavapai County Juvenile Detention where he remains in custody.
