Suspected Shooter Dead After Glendale Police To Illegal Warehouse Party

GLENDALE — On Sunday, Glendale Police responded to calls of shots fired at illegal party in an industrial district of Glendale. Upon arrival, one 17 year-old suspect began firing at responding officer, who then fired four times back at the suspect.

The suspect was pronounced dead on the scene. Police say a weapon was found on the suspect, and an additional weapon was found on scene.

According to Glendale Police, officers were called to the area of 67th and Northern avenues just before 3 a.m. for multiple reports of shots fired.

Glendale Police say that the first responding officer found hundreds of people fleeing from a warehouse due to multiple suspects firing shots into the crowd.

Officer Ngalula said the majority of the people police contacted at the party were not legally allowed to drink alcohol due to their ages.

Crime scene investigators have found 40 rounds of spent shell casings from at least five different firearms.
