Flagstaff Police Investigate Walmart Fire, Arson Suspected

On Saturday, October 19, at approximately 3:03 a.m., Flagstaff Police responded to Walmart, 2601 E. Huntington Drive regarding a report of a fire inside the store. When officers arrived the helped evacuate the store.

According to Flagstaff Police, officers on scene received information from store employees that a Native American male, standing approximately 5’ 7”, wearing a black hat, grey jacket, orange shirt, and green camo pants, was seen leaving sections of the store where a fire was started.

Flagstaff Police say they are currently investigating this incident as an arson.

The Walmart Store sustained severe fire and water damage and will be closed until further notice.
