Tucson Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing

The Tucson Police Department is investigating a stabbing that took the life of 39-year-old Frank Wise on Sunday night on Tucson’s West Side. Jessica Beem, age 38, is in custody in connection with the homicide.

According to Tucson Police, on December 8, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 1600 block of West Prince Road. Upon arrival, officers Mr. Wise, inside of the residence with an obvious stab wound to his chest.

Despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Wise was pronounced deceased on scene. Officers located witnesses and Beem, at the residence where the stabbing occurred.

Detectives were able to determine Mr. Wise and Ms. Beem had been dating on and off for over a year and that the two have a history of domestic violence together. Mr. Wise did not live with Ms. Beem, but on Sunday evening, Ms. Beem and her roommate brought Mr. Wise back to their house. After visiting for a while, Mr. Wise and Ms. Beem went to the kitchen to get a snack. For unknown reasons, Ms. Beem grabbed a knife and stabbed Mr. Wise in the chest. Ms. Beem’s roommate was present when the stabbing occurred. She immediately began rendering aid and called 911. A relative of the roommate was also at the home when police arrived.
