Brooks Appointed To Maricopa County Superior Court

PHOENIX — Robert Brooks has been appointed to the Maricopa County Superior Court to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Judge David B. Gass to Division I of the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Brooks, has been with the United States Attorney’s Office since 2014, where he currently prosecutes crimes in the Violent Crimes Section, including bank robbery, gang-related offenses and major felonies occurring on Native American reservations.

Robert serves as one of two human trafficking coordinators for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, in which he prosecutes sex and labor trafficking cases and coordinates with law enforcement and service providers to provide resources to survivors.

Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Robert was an Arizona Assistant Attorney General in the Protective Service Section where he represented the Arizona Department of Child Safety in all phases of dependency litigation. B

“Robert’s dedication to the community, including some of the most vulnerable populations, will bring a unique perspective to the bench,” said Governor Ducey in a press release. “I am pleased to appoint Robert to the Maricopa County Superior Court.”
