Police Investigating Fatal Shooting On Tucson’s West Side

TUCSON – The Tucson Police Department is investigating a shooting that took the life of 29-year-old Ricardo Sandoval on Thursday evening on Tucson’s West Side.

According to the Tucson Police Department, on January 9, 2020, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of N. Castro Avenue for reports of gunshots heard in the area. Upon arrival, officers found Mr. Sandoval in the roadway with obvious signs of gunshot trauma.

Detectives were told by witnesses that they heard a vehicle speeding away from the area immediately following the gunshots.

There are currently no suspects in custody. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
