Scottsdale Police Hope Public Can Help Identify Bank Robber

SCOTTSDALE — Scottsdale Police are asking for the public’s help identifying an armed man that robbed a bank on Wednesday afternoon. The suspect robbed the Comerica Bank near Scottsdale and McDowell roads.

The suspect entered the Comerica Bank located at 7170 E McDowell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. He approached the counter and handed the note to the teller. The suspect stated he was armed and demanded money. After receiving a determined amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene westbound on McDowell Rd in an older model faded light blue Nissan Sentra four door sedan.

A traffic camera was able to capture the suspect vehicle being driven by the suspect as it arrived prior to the Armed Robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid to late 30s, approx. 5’08”, petite build, long brown hair, with dark rimmed prescription type glasses. He was last seen wearing a white/grey hooded sweatshirt w/ a “Vans” logo on the back, jean pants, black Van’s type shoes w/ white stripe and soles.
