PHOENIX – Arizona health officials reported 2,269 cases of COVID-19 in Arizona, and 64 deaths, as of April 5. The Arizona Department of Health Services has not updated the number of tests conducted since April 4.
The total number of positive tests for COVID-19 has reached 354 for the Navajo Nation as of Sunday – an increase of 33 cases since Saturday, according to the Navajo Department of Health and Navajo Area Indian Health Service.

On April 4, 27,160 tests for COVID-19 had been completed in public and private labs in Arizona.
Also on April 4, Governor Doug Ducey announced that President Trump approved Arizona’s request for a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration for the state. Arizona can now receive additional federal assets and resources to aid the state’s COVID-19 response efforts.
