Evidence Of ASU Professor’s Homicide Sought In Surprise Landfill

MARICOPA COUNTY – Arizona State University professor, Dr. Junseok Chae went missing earlier this year and now Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are looking for evidence of his death at a landfill in Surprise.

Dr. Chae, listed on LinkedIn as Associate Dean for Research at Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU, went missing in March and investigators later determined he was the victim of a homicide.

During the course of the investigation, detectives were led to the landfill near 195th Avenue and Deer Valley Road.
