Disgraced former deputy Maricopa County Attorney Juan Martinez filed a consent to disbarment that was accepted by the presiding disciplinary judge of the Arizona Supreme Court.

According to a press release from the Arizona State Bar, the Presiding Disciplinary Judge accepted his consent and issued an order disbarring him, effective immediately.

The move effectively ends the pending discipline case against him. Martinez was accused of making sexually inappropriate comments to female law clerks at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Martinez’s consent to disbarment allows to him to avoid making any admission of misconduct.
