MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Health officials have found West Nile Virus in mosquitoes in the Lake Havasu City area.
According to the County, mosquito surveillance conducted by the Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) Environmental Health Division verified mosquitoes testing positive for West Nile Virus in the area of Body Beach.
As a safety precaution, MCEHD recommends that residents and visitors to Lake Havasu City avoid this vicinity of the beach/lake.
