Funeral services for Tohono O’odham Nation Police Officer Bryan Brown will take place on September 12.
Officer Brown was killed on August 27 near a casino that is located near the town of Why.
Officer Brown served with the Tohono O’odham Police Department for 19 years.
The suspect, identified as Carlos Maximilliano Galvan, allegedly stole Officer Brown’s patrol car, hit a Border Patrol vehicle and came back, striking Officer Brown with the car. Galvan later told investigators he was high on meth and had been awake for days.
The memorial services will take place at Desert Diamond Casino Sahuarita.
