On Wednesday, Senator Martha McSally fought back tears as she delivered her farewell address on the floor of the Senate. McSally, who was appointed to the Senate by Governor Doug Ducey, lost to Mark Kelly in the 2020 General Election.
McSally, who failed to gain the support of both democrats and republicans in a run against Senator Kyrsten Sinema, was later appointed to fill the seat held by the late Sen. John McCain.
